Another she also posted on the internet was with her grand mother. In a follow up post she made she said she is from Liberia which makes her graduation extra special. STRONG indications emerged, yesterday, that officials of the Federal and Lagos State governments are working out guidelines for re-opening of schools, which closure was precipitated by the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. This came as the Lagos State Government hinted that there are plans to employ no fewer than 2,000 more teachers in its public primary schools. Similarly, the state government, through the Office of Education Quality Assurance, has designed an initiative, tagged: ‘Read-Aloud, Lagos’, to create and stimulate the interest of school children in reading books. As a result of the collapse of the bridge, residents have had to sometimes rely on donkeys and other informal means of transport to reach hospitals, markets and schools. Residents of Ngojin and Nahuta communities in Yobe State have cried out over the untold hardship they have been facing since the collapse of a major bridge linking them to Potiskum, a popular town in the state. As a result of the collapse of the bridge, residents have had to sometimes rely on donkeys and other informal means of transport to reach hospitals, markets and schools A resident of the area, Tikau Maria, said that they had been sending appeals to the authorities for urgent intervention but nothing had been done till this moment. Governor Nyesom Wike has been sued at the ECOWAS Court of Justice in Abuja for alleged violations and abuses of the human rights of the people of Rivers State under the guise of enforcing lockdown imposed to curb Covid-19 spread in the state. The federal government has also been sued alongside Wike for failing to curtail the governor's excesses.
